It’s amazing how you can live like a horse with bilnders on sometimes! Just yesterday I bragged to my friend about knowing London so well…’I haven’t known any city as well as this one!’

Scene 1:

T: ‘Really? That’s cool ya! Not many people know much about the place they live in’

P: ‘I guess when you start living alone you figure these things out!’

Sometime later,

T: ‘lets go get some drinks!’

P: ‘ok cool. Wear your layers coz its gonna take at least 10 minutes to get to tesco and it’s very cold’

T: ‘Tesco? Why Tesco?’ There’s a wine shop right next to your house! Haven’t you seen it?’

P: ‘errr…ermm…oh okay!’

Scene 2

P: ‘hey lets hurry up…we’re really late and we’ll only get about a couple of hours at the mall.’

T: ‘I need to top up my osyter card…no balance’

P: ‘Oh shit! Then toh hurry up even more coz we’ll take 10 m ins to walk to the station to do it!’

T: ‘Are you mad? You can get it topped up at these corner shops’

P: ‘No way!’ (with complete confidence) ‘For oyster top-ups you need a machine!’

T: ‘P you are such an idiot naa…these corner shops have machines that you can top up at’

P: ‘Shit! And I’ve been walking all the way to the tube station if I didn’t have balance. Anyway at least I’ve lost weight…’ (so lame!)

Scene 3

P: ‘It’s your lucky day! You love shopping naa…am gonna take you to that new mall thats opened up’

T: ‘The biggest in the UK?’

P: ‘Yeah…it’s in the west of London…forgot what it’s called’

T: ‘Oh yeah…it’s at Whi..’

P: ‘You just go get ready ya…I’m the Londoner will figure out what its called’

Sometime later,

P: ‘T…ur gonna kill me but the net is down and I can’t find out where it is! And the west of London is a vast area’

T: ‘The mall is called Westfield you gugu and is in White City!’

P: You knew??!! ‘Why didn’t you tell me?’

T: ‘You’re the Londoner naa!’

I hate it when my friends do that! :-/
